A Good Place to Visit - A Nice Place to Work - and A Great Place to Live !

Housing

There is a wide variety of housing available- - from new modern homes to those of historical significance. New residential areas offer the latest in construction and style while those interested in tradition can select an older home with plenty of character. Multi-family dwellings are available in new modern apartments or units converted from single family dwellings.

Education

The consolidated Wesclin school district serves the community through two elementary schools in Trenton and a junior-senior high school complex about three miles south of town on Highway 160. Bus service is provided. The school district has ranked well above state and national averages on standardized tests over the past several years, and offers an excellent curriculum. A Catholic high school is located within a ten-minute drive. For continuing education, there are two community colleges within 20 miles and three four-year colleges with graduate programs within about 25 miles. Closest to Trenton, and of historical interest is McKendree College, located seven miles to the west. This college is the oldest liberal arts school in Illinois.
